As I looked through my latest Newegg email I noticed a gaming deal hiding at the bottom. Newegg is currently offering $10 off of pre-orders over $39.99 with promo code EMCNBNG58. Note that you'll need to be an email subscriber to use promo codes - you can sign up at the top of the current promo page.
What does this mean for your average PC gamer? Here is a list of PC games that qualify for this deal. There are some big names on that list, with F1 2012, NFS Most Wanted 2012, Borderlands 2, Guild Wars 2, Metro Last Light, and Bioshock Infinite among them.
The Blizzard games in the list (Mists of Pandaria and Heart of the Swarm) are both expansion packs and are probably the best deals. MoP is priced at $40, so the promo code effectively gives you 25% off. HotS is currently listed at $60, but given Blizzard's history of pricing WoW expansions at 40 bucks, I've got my fingers crossed that they follow suit with both HotS and LotV for SC2. In any case, Newegg has you covered with pre-orders, as they both honor price drops and allow you to cancel at any time - they won't charge your card until the game is released and shipped. HotS for $30 would be pretty solid, so we'll see what happens.
